My favourite Squarespace Resources for Designers

course

I Love Creatives

If you spend time in the same places online as I do, you’ve seen an I Love Creatives ad. My first major business investment was their Squarespace course, and I’m glad I went for it! The Slack channel is helpful and supportive, and I signed up based on the high quality of past student work. I’m discerning when it comes to online courses but I can say this one is worth it. Expect to invest work and time into it and you can get a lot out of it, and meet some other cool creative people while you’re at it!

resources

Squarestylist

Squarestylist is another very popular course provider in the online designer space...while I haven’t taken part in the course (apart from a mini-course or code snippet here and there) Rache has some fantastic resources and the occasional free workshop available for anyone interested in Squarespace.

tutorials

Inside the Square

I can’t believe Becca from Inside the Square offers this many tutorials and helpful tidbits for free! I discovered her tutorial videos on YouTube, and promptly signed up for her mailing list. It’s one of the only mailing lists that I haven’t unsubscribed from — she sends a new CSS tutorial every week!

tutorials

Paige Brunton

Paige Brunton has a ton of helpful freebies and resources, from knowing how to price projects to custom CSS. She also offers a course, and I’ll reiterate: when choosing a course to check out what the student work looks like and if the style is aligned. There are tons of Squarespace courses online, just get to know how the learning style might work for you and if the end result is something you’d be happy to produce for a client.

inspiration

Typewolf

We know it, we love it. A great newsletter and website from Typewolf featuring amazing typefaces from all over the internet, often with their Adobe Fonts dupe. This is super helpful because as you may know, Squarespace utilizes Adobe Fonts and to eliminate the need for purchased fonts might be necessary for a project.

plugins

Ghost Plugins

I had to save the best for last! Nicely organized and well laid out, Ghost Plugins is a forever fav. I’ve mainly utilized their free code snippets but they also offer templates, and more premium plugins. Sign up with your email for their secret plugins, too!
